Computed tomography has indicated that this was once a common steel sword used by a low ranking soldier that has been encapsulated, most likely using expert level necromancy, by human flesh. This is seen most often when a soldier looses a limb in battle. In desperation there have been recorded cases of them seeking the help of local practitioners that would use the soldiers own weapon to craft a new limb. Unfortunately, once the owner of the new limb passed away, the enchanted flesh would live on through it's inevitable decay. This particular specimen has gone through multiple attempts at binding, which have been relatively successful as the phantom limb can now be handled as long as the handler is using proper protection.
